AFP Welfare Medal

The Australian Federal Police Welfare Medal is a distinguished award established to recognise the exceptional contributions of both current and former members of the Australian Federal Police in the area of welfare and well-being. Eligibility for this esteemed medal requires individuals to have:

• Made significant contributions to the welfare, well-being, or mental health support of AFP members; or
• Demonstrated a sustained commitment to welfare initiatives within the AFP, as determined by the AFP Commissioner.

Design

The medal is crafted from antique silver and features two cupped hands that cradle the AFP badge, along with the St Edward's Crown. On the flip side, a wreath of wattle is displayed. The accompanying ribbon is adorned with stripes in shades of purple, white, and light blue.
