  • Completed a cumulative service of five years in roles directly related to protection operations, such as dignitary protection, asset protection, or counter-terrorism; or
  • Demonstrated exceptional commitment and contributions to the field of protection within the AFP, as determined by the AFP Commissioner.

Design

The medal features the AFP platypus, St Edward's Crown, a Roman numeral X, and the Federation Star. The accompanying ribbon is adorned with stripes in shades of yellow, blue, white, and grey.
