The South Australia Police Bravery Medal is a prestigious award established to recognise the extraordinary courage and bravery displayed by both current and former members of the South Australia Police Force. This esteemed medal is conferred upon those who have acted courageously and responsibly when faced with potential or actual life-threatening danger.
Demonstrated exceptional bravery in life-threatening situations, going beyond the call of duty to protect life or property; or
Carried out acts of courage under conditions of significant risk, as determined by the organisation's leadership.
The award can be conferred posthumously and to former members of the South Australia Police Force who have displayed extraordinary bravery.
