Bravery Medal

The Bravery Medal is a distinguished award established to honour the extraordinary courage and bravery displayed by individuals in life-threatening situations. This esteemed medal is conferred upon those who have acted courageously and responsibly when faced with potential or actual life-threatening danger, regardless of their professional affiliation.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Demonstrated exceptional bravery in life-threatening situations, going beyond the call of duty to protect life or property

Design

The Bravery Medal features a round bronze design, topped with the St Edward's Crown. Above the shield from the Commonwealth Coat of Arms, the Federation Star is prominently displayed. The shield itself is encircled by a zig-zag patterned border.

The ribbon of the medal consists of alternating stripes in red and magenta.
