This striking 36-millimeter-diameter medal is designed in bronze. The obverse features the inscription "LIBERATION OF THE PHILIPPINES" along with a depiction of a mythical female figure, representing the spirit of freedom, breaking the chains of oppression. On the reverse, the Philippine sun from the national flag is prominently displayed, encircled by the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 1944-1945".
