The XXI Commonwealth Games Commendation recognizes the effective collaborative efforts of the Queensland Police Service (QPS), the Public Safety Business Agency (PSBA), and eligible Government departments in providing security services during the XXI Commonwealth Games.
The commendation consists of three panels in blue, yellow, and red, with white stripes on either side of the central yellow panel. These colors symbolize the Gold Coast, where the Games took place – blue for the surf, yellow for the sand, and red for the sun.
